You’re at Pregnancy Week 11 – so close to the end of the first trimester you can almost smell the second (and hopefully it’s not setting off your nausea).
This week might still feel a bit like a waiting game. You’re past the shock (maybe), not quite at the glowing phase (probably), and very much in the is this still happening? bit of early pregnancy. During this period, Week 11 can feel challenging.
Let’s talk about what to expect at 11 weeks in your pregnancy.
👶 What’s Going On With Your Baby?
Your baby is now about the size of a fig — around 4–5cm long. That tiny body has done a lot of work already. This week, baby’s fingers and toes are separating, their ears are nearly in the right place, and they’re starting to kick and stretch (even if you can’t feel it yet). Amazing changes happen during Pregnancy Week 11!
Inside the womb:
🧠 The brain is developing rapidly
👃 Nose and upper lip are more defined
🧍 Baby’s body is straightening out
🤸♀️ They’re moving around constantly — but still too tiny for you to feel
And their diaphragm is forming too — which means hiccups aren’t far off!
🤰 Common Pregnancy Symptoms at 11 Weeks
By Pregnancy Week 11, many people are still experiencing early pregnancy symptoms. Nausea might still be in full force, especially in the mornings (or randomly at 3pm — pregnancy has no rules). You might also notice:
Mood swings or anxiety
Tiredness that makes basic tasks feel Olympic
Bloating, constipation, or trapped wind
Tender or growing breasts
Feeling a bit teary or emotionally unpredictable
Strange dreams (vivid and occasionally bonkers)
If you’re feeling all over the place — physically or emotionally — know that you’re not alone during Pregnancy Week 11. These weeks are intense.
